Pain Relief Ireland was delighted to be a finalist in the “Most Transformative Use of Information Technology” at the National Health Tech Awards in Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel.

This award is for the innovative use of information technology in a healthcare context to improve efficiencies and deliver better patient care. It includes systems that produce savings both in terms of personnel, revenue or patient time. Professor Dominic Hegarty (Clinical Director of Pain Relief Ireland) has worked over the last 2 years with Innovation healthcare Solutions (Medtronic Ireland, UK & Europe) to develop a unique digital platform, Get Ready© for patients to access and monitor their progress. It is specifically designed for individuals with Spinal Cord Stimulation to use app based information technology to transform the patients experience and assist clinicians.

Pain Relief Ireland is leading the area of Neuromodulation in Ireland and with this exciting advancement we have become the first pain centre in Europe to offer this to our patients. We are excited to believe we can help improve the lives of chronic pain patient every day and we are so grateful to all our patient who have use this mobile app on their phone / devices to help us offer the best management.

The 12th annual National Health Tech Innovation Awards, in HealthTech Ireland’s 42nd year, highlights the many valuable contributions HealthTech has brought to healthcare in Ireland. These awards are a platform for manufacturers, distributors, medical device and digital companies to showcase the state-of-the-art medical health technologies brought to the market and to demonstrate the positive impact they have for patients and the healthcare system.

The Awards have grown significantly in the past few years with entries coming from hospitals, researchers, medtech entrepreneurs and industry. Previous Award winners include acute hospital research teams, primary health care providers, SME start-ups, community health care, digital health entrepreneurs, global medtech companies, local distributors and many other extraordinary people and healthcare professionals.

The comprehensive list of categories identify the highest level of achievement across the healthcare sector. The awards will recognise those who have excelled in the areas of Healthcare Collaboration, Diagnostics for Prevention, Best Indigenous Healthcare Start-up & eHealth Digital Health, among others.

The esteemed judging panel was comprised of leading experts drawn from across the industry itself. Key to the success of the awards is the integrity of its judging process.
The 2024 Awards winners were announced at a black-tie gala dinner held at The Shelbourne, Dublin 2, on 21st November, 2024.

This is the first time that Pain Relief Ireland was involved in this type of event and we are delighted to be able to show what we can bring to healthcare to provide our patient with the best technology opportunities in the field.
