Before the festive season comes to an end and the new year starts Pain Relief Ireland wants to wish all our patients and their families the very best for the 2023.
We have had another fantastic year at Pain Relief Ireland with Professor Hegarty’s appointment as the first Professor in Pain Medicine in the History of University College Cork (UCC), the first pain centre in Europe to integrate a digital platform “Get Ready” to assist in patient care, winner of “Best Innovation in Healthcare and Medicine” at the Irish Healthcare Awards. Combined with launching new brochures, techniques, and equipment to advance pain management we have treated our highest number of individuals in our 10 years!
And 2023 promises more of the same with Prof. Hegarty due to take over as President of the World Institute of Pain, we will be the launching two new pain clinics to deal with migraine and small-fiber peripheral neuropathy in early 2023 and we will continue to expand the neuromodulation service to treat more individuals with chronic pain than ever before.
So, if you don’t mind, we do need to take a short break ourselves!
We will be closed from Wednesday 21st December 2022 to Monday 9th January 2023. Any issues during this period you are advised to discuss it with a GP or attend an emergency department nearest you. The pain management service, including the neuromodulation service digital management service will not be available at the Mater Private Hospital over this period.
Please do remember to continue with you pain management routine over the Christmas break, ensure you pace yourself and get enough rest. We are looking forward to working with you to improve your quality of life in 2023.
At Pain Relief Ireland we care about your pain.
Best wishes for 2023.
